About Draft 2 Distribution

A hive of editors, designers, producers and publicists built around one rule: the author keeps everything that matters.

Draft 2 Distribution exists because the gap between a finished draft and a book on sale is wider than it should be, and most of what fills that gap is either overpriced, opaque, or quietly takes a share of the author’s rights.

What we believe

The author owns the book. Copyright, royalties and final approval stay with you on every service we offer. We are contractors, not co-owners.

Prices should be public. If a service has a price, that price belongs on the website. Quote-only pricing usually means the quote depends on how much the buyer seems able to pay.

Say the unwelcome thing. If a manuscript is not ready, or advertising would be wasted at this stage, we say so. It costs us a booking and saves you more than that.

The hive

Editors with genre credits, designers who have worked retail shelves, audio producers, publicists and distribution coordinators. Every title gets a named team rather than whoever is free.

By the numbers

More than 500 completed projects, over 120 titles in production at any given time, distribution into 40+ markets — and 100% of creative ownership retained by the authors behind them.

Meet the team
“From the first consultation to launch day the process never stalled. I kept 100% ownership and still ended up with a bestseller.”
Marisa Kent Whispers of Time · Historical Fiction
“Outstanding editing and cover design. They understood the vision and executed it flawlessly. Worth every penny.”
Devon Aldridge Beyond the Stars · Science Fiction
“My title went live in print, ebook and audio in the same week. I had spent two years failing to do that alone.”
Priya Raman Forgotten Dreams · Literary Fiction
“The metadata work alone doubled my discoverability. They treat a book like a product, not a favour.”
Owen Blackwell Digital Horizons · Business & Technology

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I keep the rights to my book?
Yes — all of them. You hold the copyright, the royalties and the final say on every decision. We are a service partner, never a rights holder.
How much does publishing a book cost?
It depends on which services your manuscript actually needs. Our pricing page lists flat rates per service so you can build a package without a sales call, and nothing is added to the invoice later.
How long does the whole process take?
A typical title moves from finished manuscript to live retail listings in eight to sixteen weeks. Editing depth and audiobook production are the two stages that move that range the most.
Can I order a single service instead of a package?
Absolutely. Plenty of authors come to us only for a cover, only for distribution, or only for an audiobook. Order one service today and add another whenever you want.
Where will my book actually be sold?
Across major global online retailers, independent bookstores, library and academic wholesalers, ebook storefronts, and audiobook platforms — in print, digital and audio depending on the editions you produce.
What if I am not happy with the work?
Every service includes revision rounds, and our guarantee page sets out exactly what happens if a deliverable misses the brief. We would rather redo it than ship something you dislike.
